Student VISA
Indian students can apply for an Ireland visa online. There are two main types of student visas – C Type and D Type. The C Type visa is ideal for short-duration courses or training programs lasting less than three months. In comparison, the D Type of visa allows students to pursue their education lasting more than three months. So, most students apply for a D Type of visa.
To obtain a student visa, you must have:
- Letter of acceptance issued by your Irish University once the admission is confirmed.
- Proof of English-language proficiency such as IELTS score.
- Financial proof to ensure you can fund your education & living expenses in Ireland.
- A passport with a validity of a minimum of 12 months is mandatory.
NOTE: The visa process for Ireland can be complicated. It is advised to seek help from study abroad counsellors for the visa application.

Ireland has many job opportunities, and the country welcomes international students to complete their studies and work in their field of choice. They offer 2 Year Post Study Work Visa to students. As employees, their visas can be extended with the support of employers. They can also apply for citizenship or permanent residency after 5 years of work and stay in the country.
