There are two types of accommodation in New Zealand that students can choose from on-campus or off-campus. Some students prefer living in an on-campus university accommodation because it is more secure and provides them with a sense of community. Other students prefer to live in off-campus settings like private homes, and rented apartments to get more privacy and an independent living experience. We recommend our students check for suitable options based on the distance from campus, location, budget and amenities around.
Welcome Week is a week-long series of events that all new students at the University participate. The program includes orientation sessions, academic advising, and other opportunities designed to help new students transition into the university environment. It is an important week for international students as they get a chance to understand their campus and its people better. At EduFirst, we encourage our students to attend all activities at Welcome week to have a great start!
