Student VISA

For studying in Australia, obtaining a student visa is a prerequisite. International students need to apply for a Student (Subclass 500) Visa, irrespective of their university, field of study or more. This visa is valid for the entire course duration and permits multiple entries for students. The visa process is very straightforward, yet it can take up to 6 weeks of processing time.

To obtain a student visa, you must have:

Post Study Work VISA

Graduates from Australian Universities who wish to remain in the country after their studies can apply for the Temporary Graduate Visa ((subclass 485). The visa is granted to you for a period of up to 4 years. This work visa can be extended if your employer supports you. Students are also eligible to apply for permanent residency after completing the tenure of their study work visa. Opportunity to work in most jobs

Accommodation

Most Australian Universities & Colleges offer on-campus accommodation to international students. Apart from that, there are many other accommodation options, such as private homestays and shared or individual apartments. Students can choose between these options as per their needs. Consider factors like location, distance from your university/college, nearby markets and budget before finalising your accommodation.

Welcome Week At The University

The welcome week is a wonderful opportunity for international students to get familiar with the university/college campus, explore opportunities, and connect with peers a week before the regular lectures begin. There are orientation programs, social events, and activities arranged by the university/college management to make their students comfortable in the new environment. At EduFirst, we strongly recommend our students reach Australia on time and attend the welcome week. Trust us; it is an excellent way to understand your university beforehand.
